Homage to dance: Dance performance at the National Dance Academy
September 14, 2009
After 20:00
The National Dance Academy founded on January,14, 1963, was strongly desired by Jia Ruskaja to encourage artistic initiatives from which both students and Academy can get advantages. It represents the institutional support of promotion, organization and administration of academy’s activity. The building that accommodates the National Academy of Dance is of exceptional historical and archaeological value. The cartographic sources of Stratum (1676) and Nolli (1748) represent both the asymmetric structure of a building that ergs on the “Pianoro dell’ Aventino” in a wonderful landscape. The Nolli, calling “ Castello d’ acqua” , from the Circo Massimo catches up via di Santa Prisca and has, on the left, “l’ Ortaccio degli ebrei”, and, on the right, the Church of Santa Prisca.
Interpreters: Students of the National Dance Academy directed by Margherita Parrilla
Choreographer: Ricky Bonavita
Music by: Prugni, Armstrong, Strawinsky
