Objectives
fMRI is a powerful tool for the investigation of the neural substrates
of spatial attention. Together with standard approaches based on the
identification areas that activate during specific spatial attention
tasks, the recent introduction of non-conventional analysis methods is
beginning to shed light on mechanisms and dynamics of spatial
attention control. Aim of this tutorial is to review some these new
techniques and to discuss possible future applications.
