Albert Postma
Albert Postma is Professor in Cognitive Psychology and Neuropsychology at the Helmholtz Insitute, Utrecht University. He examines spatial cognition and human memory. In 2000 he received an NWO (Dutch science foundation) Pionier grant on “Spatial Cognition: development, underlying representations, and neural basis”. This was followed by a research grant from the EU 6th Framework NEST Programme in 2005 : “Finding your way in the world – on the neurocognitive basis of spatial memory and orientation in humans” and a NWO Evolution & Behaviour grant in 2006 on “The evolution of Spatial Abstraction and Categorization”. He is editor for Acta Psychologica for the memory section.
